Last entry from the last norwegian in Thailand on his last day and the first day of the Thai year. The last few days have been really great. I have met some really nice people and we have had a lot of fun. I met this american guy the day before I left last island and we now share a room to save money. Even if I am not on a budget, most of the people I meet are, and I try to live like them. On the boat over from last island, we met this danish couple, and we have been hanging out since we met. Last times letter got a bit amputated, due to the very strong antimosquito insense I could hardly see through the tears this smoke created. I will probably get some problems again today - the mosquitos come out of their cave around this time, and they seem to like me alot. I have stings everywhere on my body and I say to myself “It is probably good for you” but I’m not sure how well I manage to convince myself (more…)

I am now sitting at one of the most relaxing places I have ever experienced. I am in a village called Maenam, north on an island called Koh Samui i the Gulf of Thailand. The sun is about to set, and there are no people here to ruin the silence. I am staying in a bungalow 10 meters from the water and it is really nice. I thought this place was going to be crowded with people, but there aren’t many out there. I have been travelling from south to north on this island the last few days and were going to leave this island today, but changed plans when a major rainstorm set in. It feels really nice to finally get to sleep in way past checkout time in the places I stay (more…)
